We receive lots of phone calls, e-mails, faxes with comments, questions and orders and we'd love to be able to respond to all of them (really!), but we simply can't at the moment. Especially not in the mornings which is when we do our baking (that way you get 'em fresh).
BUT we are working quickly to change things and we wanted to take a few minutes out of our "crazy morning time" to answer a few q's that may be on your mind:
Q) I placed an order/requested the Truck for an event (yesterday, last week, two weeks ago etc.) and haven't heard from you. What's the deal?
A) Orders are filled on a first come, first served basis and up until now, we've only been able to get back to you if we can fill your order.
Q I understand but I still think you should call or e-mail me to let me know you can't fill my order.
A) We agree and are working on solving this right now. In fact, we have a plan that we think will allow us to start responding within a day or two to every single person who contacts us starting next week. For the rest of this week and for those of you who've been waiting on a reply up till now, we're asking you to please continue to be patient as we grow. If we haven't filled an order for you yet, we hope you will try us again.
Q) Can you come Downtown? To Science Park? To Wallingford? To Hartford?
A) We've worked hard to pick the two locations we currently visit and it's simply not possible for us to be everywhere we'd like to be. Parking is one reason. Distance, another. That said, the cupcake delivery phase of our business, which will start soon (once it's too cold for us to be in the Truck and for you to wait on line), will hopefully enable us to get you your cupcakes wherever you are in the New Haven vicinity. Or you can e-mail us about renting the Truck to come to your home or office for an event.
Q) How much is it to rent the Truck for an event?
A) We will be posting our rental rates/process/policies later this week and will have them on the website very soon as well. Stay tuned.
Q) Will the Truck be out for Thanksgiving?
A) No. The Truck will not park on Thanksgiving or the day after. We will do our best to fill your orders (a dozen or more cupcakes) during the days before and after the holiday. Again, this will be done on a first come, first served basis.
