Of frostings and buttercreams
Those of you loyal Cupcake Truckers who were there right from the start may remember that our frostings, or toppings as we call them, were a bit different in the summer and early fall. The thick, rich, buttery toppings you've enjoyed over the winter were light, silky and...okay, so they were still buttery...in your mouth. Well, they're back.
Thanks to the changing of the seasons and the warmer temperatures, we'll be switching back to our more temperature-stable toppings. This also means that the Caramel topping you've come to know and love will be retired till next fall. Don't worry. We're working on a new caramel topping that can stand up to whatever spring and summer brings and will be unveiling it soon.

The Cupcake Truck will be parking today as part of the Culinary Walking Tours organized by the Greater New Haven Convention and Visitor's Bureau. There will be two tours stopping at the Truck and we hope you'll help us welcome them as you get your cupcakes. Our hours and menu will be limited so come out and get 'em while you can!

The Truck will be parking this evening as part of the annual Relay for Life fundraiser at Yale University. This is a wonderful way to join the global fight against cancer and we're happy to do our part to help the university support the American Cancer Society's mission of research, education, advocacy, and patient services. Sorry Cupcake Truckers. We've got some fun things happening later this week and need the planning/prep time.
WEDNESDAY
Tomorrow, we have a couple of events/deliveries and we're gearing up for the Taste of New Haven event next Wednesday. More on this later this week.
THURSDAY
As far as Thursday, it's looking like we might not be at Quinnipiac University for their Relay for Life event after all. We'd still love to come and we're all set to do so but it's up to the folks in charge. If we don't stop by tomorrow, don't despair! We will definitely be back by the end of the month for another Ballroom Society fundraising event 'cause it was fun last time. And we'll just plan to hit the streets in one or two of our usual spots. We'll update our blog by tomorrow morning.
FRIDAY
We'll be going to a new Truck Stop...The Long Wharf Maritime Center from 1:30 to 3. We'll be parked in the driveway between the garage and Building I and if you can make it, we'll see you there.
SATURDAY
We're supposed to be doing another Relay for Life cancer awareness event at the Yale Gym. We hope those who can will come out and support this great cause.

Tomorrow, we have a couple of events/deliveries and we're gearing up for the Taste of New Haven event next Wednesday. More on this later this week.
THURSDAY
As far as Thursday, it's looking like we might not be at Quinnipiac University for their Relay for Life event after all. We'd still love to come and we're all set to do so but it's up to the folks in charge. If we don't stop by tomorrow, don't despair! We will definitely be back by the end of the month for another Ballroom Society fundraising event 'cause it was fun last time. And we'll just plan to hit the streets in one or two of our usual spots. We'll update our blog by tomorrow morning.
FRIDAY
We'll be going to a new Truck Stop...The Long Wharf Maritime Center from 1:30 to 3. We'll be parked in the driveway between the garage and Building I and if you can make it, we'll see you there.
SATURDAY
We're supposed to be doing another Relay for Life cancer awareness event at the Yale Gym. We hope those who can will come out and support this great cause.

No YNHH today. Sorry folks!
The good people at St. Raphael's finally got a chance to try our cupcakes today. And boy did they ever! We're heading back to Cupcake HQ with a pretty empty Truck right now but we promise to be back your way either tomorrow or Friday and we WILL save your cupcakes.
